The governor of California’s announcement on Friday, July 24, reminds us to be diligent with our safety protocols, wearing a mask to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus and to refrain from in-person learning until Santa Barbara County has been removed from the state watchlist. We know our college size and location in Santa Barbara offer great advantages for us, so we continue to monitor all options as we anticipate the start of the fall semester. Please review Westmont’s extensive COVID-19 plans here. We desire to provide everyone with as much information as possible in a timely manner so you can plan well. We will continue to update you via our website as we have more information.

Thank you for your patience. You can reach out to us with your questions by emailing

Warrior Strong Our COVID-19 Plans

Westmont looks forward to in-person learning and living this fall! We’re excited to welcome our
new and returning students to campus beginning August 27 with Orientation for new students.
We know this fall will look very different, but we’re committed to making a Westmont education
safe and enjoyable. We’re the right size to shift and pivot as we need to, observing and
respecting restrictions and regulations. The safety of our Westmont community remains our
highest priority. Our plans will safeguard your arrival and interactions throughout campus. On
this site, you can watch, read and download plans for each area. Westmont is open for visitors
who follow our protocols so everyone can safely interact on our beautiful Santa Barbara
campus. And mask-up, Warriors!

Update from President Gayle D. Beebe

Warriors – Mask Up!

When it comes to face masks, Westmont has you covered! In fact, Westmont has expanded its face covering options to include four different designs to show your Warrior pride while following state and county health requirements. The face masks are FREE to all students, faculty and staff at the admissions lobby of Kerrwood Hall. Alumni and parents may purchase one through the Westmont Bookstore. The fabric, which meets CDC requirements for COVID-19 protection, is incredibly comfortable and breathable, and easily washable. Remember, true Warriors smile with their eyes.
